Yebo Yum · What we own, what you may and may not use

Effective May 2026. This notice applies to the Yebo Yum mobile app, the Yebo Yum partner web app, the yeboyum.co.za website, and all other Yebo Yum products and content.

The Yebo Yum mobile and web applications, including all source code, designs, layouts, illustrations, icons, photographs, text, audio, video, structure and arrangement, are the original work of Yebo Yum (Pty) Ltd and are protected by copyright under the South African Copyright Act 98 of 1978 and by international copyright treaties (including the Berne Convention).

Copyright protection arises automatically on creation under South African law and does not require registration. Yebo Yum (Pty) Ltd is the owner of all copyright in the Yebo Yum app, website and content unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Trademarks

The following marks are trademarks of Yebo Yum (Pty) Ltd, used in the course of trade in the Republic of South Africa and protected at common law and (where registered) under the Trade Marks Act 194 of 1993:

The trademarks listed above may not be used in connection with any product, service or business without Yebo Yum (Pty) Ltd's prior written consent. The use of these trademarks in a way that is likely to cause confusion among customers, or that disparages or discredits Yebo Yum, is prohibited.

Other product, service and company names mentioned on the Yebo Yum app or website may be the trademarks of their respective owners. We acknowledge their rights and use their marks only to identify them.

User-generated content

By submitting content to Yebo Yum (for example, a star rating, written review, profile photo or feedback), you grant Yebo Yum (Pty) Ltd a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to use, reproduce, modify and display that content for the purposes of operating, promoting and improving the Yebo Yum service. You retain ownership of your content. You can revoke this licence at any time by deleting the content (or your account — see how to delete your account).

Reporting copyright infringement

If you believe content on the Yebo Yum app or website infringes your copyright, please email support@yeboyum.co.za with the subject line "Copyright infringement notice" and the following information:

We will investigate every credible report and remove or restrict access to material we determine to be infringing. We may also terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

Open-source acknowledgements

The Yebo Yum apps incorporate open-source software components, each governed by their own licences. A full list of these components and the corresponding licence texts is available on request from support@yeboyum.co.za.
