You can ask us to delete your Yebo Yum account at any time, for any reason. There are two ways to do it: in the app (fastest) or by email.
Option 1 — Delete in the app Recommended
- 1 Open the Yebo Yum app and sign in.
- 2 Tap the Profile tab in the bottom navigation.
- 3 Scroll to the bottom of the Profile screen.
- 4 Tap Delete account.
- 5 Confirm the request. You will be signed out immediately and your account will be queued for permanent deletion.
Your request is processed within 30 days, in line with the App Store and Play Store requirements.
Option 2 — Email us
Send an email to support@yeboyum.co.za with the subject line:
Delete my Yebo Yum account
Send the email from the email address on the account so we can verify the request. We will:
- Confirm receipt within 2 business days.
- Verify the request (we may ask one or two follow-up questions if anything is unclear).
- Process the deletion within 30 days of the verified request.
- Email you when the deletion is complete.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, the following personal data is permanently removed from our systems:

| Profile information | Your name, phone number, and avatar photo are deleted. |
| Push notification tokens | Removed from our database; no further notifications sent. |
| Saved location preferences | Deleted. |
| Ratings and reviews you posted | Anonymised — the text remains visible to partners but is no longer linked to you. |
| Open jackpot entries | Withdrawn from the next monthly draw. |
What is retained, and why
South African tax, accounting and consumer-protection law requires us to keep some transactional records for up to 5 years, even after you ask us to delete your account. We keep this in an anonymised form — the records can no longer be linked back to you personally:

If you change your mind
You have 14 days from the date we confirm your deletion request to email us at support@yeboyum.co.za to cancel the deletion. After 14 days the deletion is irreversible.
